Home Prices On The Rise by 1.1% in Chicago
28 July 2009 ? The Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index is reporting that Chicago-area home prices were up 1.1 percent in May when compared to April. This is the first monthly increase in since Sept. 2006. According to the index, Chicago-area prices were down 17.5 percent compared with May 2008, which is more than the national average.
