We run an insurance company our of PA that is an insurance broker exclusively for vacant homeowners insurance policy and find it amazing that many homeowners are not aware of the risks of leaving a home vacant. Moreover, insurance companies arent proactive in notifying homeowners if the risks. This is obviously because most standard insurance companies dont provide vacant home insurance so they can't profit from it - so why should they notify homeowners if it...pretty sad! Great article.
